INDIGO BLAZe
Indigo Blaze are a Perth-based Nu-Metal force breathing new life into the genre through a uniquely Australian lens - blending crushing riffs, hip-hop cadence and party-ready hooks into a sound that’s as heavy as it is infectious.
Formed in the blue-collar suburbs of south-east Perth, Indigo Blaze have quickly built a reputation for explosive live shows and relentless momentum. Their single CRITICAL HIT earned them Heavy Song of the Year at the 2025 WA Music Awards, cementing their place as one of Western Australia’s most exciting heavy exports.
The band’s debut EP UTB introduced their signature sound across fan favourites D1 and Pump It, landing significant editorial support including multiple covers of Spotify’s Nu Nü playlist, features on Homegrown + Heavy and Fresh Finds Heavy and airplay on triple j as well as BBC Radio 1’s Future Alternative in the UK. Over the past 12 months alone, Indigo Blaze have amassed over 1.5 million streams, with listenership growing rapidly off the back of a strong digital presence.
A recent stint at Fremantle’s Hopping Mouse Studios with producer Matt Templeman (Make Them Suffer, Sly Withers, Birds of Tokyo) pushed the band’s sound to a new level, while their collaboration with LATE 90s on the anthemic UNBOUND has surpassed 450,000 streams to date. Their latest single Starwound continues that evolution - a bounce-heavy, modern nu-metal cut packed with sharp lyricism and undeniable groove.
Known for their commanding stage presence, Indigo Blaze have shared stages with Ocean Grove, Hed P.E., Gyroscope, Rat Salad, Fangz and more and are set to take things further with an upcoming co-headline tour alongside Silver Fang and Aurateque.
As triple j’s Jack Bergin (Void Of Vision) puts it:
“Clean guitar noodling that would make Wes Borland raise an eyebrow - a super fresh take on the classic nu-metal sound.”
